Watch Strap Size Adjustment Guide

A perfectly fitted watch strap doesn’t just look good — it feels right. This guide will help you understand how to measure your wrist, adjust your watch strap, and achieve a comfortable, secure fit for your Serein Luxury timepiece.

Why Strap Size Matters

  • Enhances comfort for all-day wear

  • Prevents slipping or tight pressure marks

  • Improves the overall appearance of the watch

  • Ensures accurate positioning of the dial on your wrist

Step 1: Measure Your Wrist Size

You can measure your wrist easily at home.

Method 1: Using a Measuring Tape

  1. Wrap a flexible measuring tape around your wrist where you normally wear your watch.

  2. Ensure it’s snug but not tight.

  3. Note the measurement in centimeters or inches.

Method 2: Using a String or Paper Strip

  1. Wrap a string or paper strip around your wrist.

  2. Mark the point where it overlaps.

  3. Measure the length using a ruler.

Tip: Add 0.5–1 cm for a comfortable fit.

Step 2: Understand Your Watch Strap Type

Different straps require different adjustment methods.

Step 3: How to Adjust a Metal Bracelet (DIY)

You will need:

  • Link removal tool or small pin pusher

  • Soft cloth

Steps:

  1. Place the watch face down on a soft cloth.

  2. Locate the arrows on the inside of the bracelet.

  3. Push the pin in the direction of the arrow.

  4. Remove the required number of links evenly from both sides.

  5. Reinsert the pin securely.

Note: Remove one link at a time and test the fit.

Step 4: Check the Perfect Fit

Your watch strap fits correctly if:

  • One finger can slide comfortably between strap and wrist

  • Watch stays centered on the wrist

  • No tightness, pinching, or excessive movement

  • Visit a local watchmaker or jeweler.
